THE DYNASTY OF NIKE AIR / AIR MAX DAY 2019

I’m thrilled to share that Nike Greater China and Nike Hong Kong invited me to reimagine The Cháo Dynasty as an Air Max-exclusive version to celebrate Air Max Day 2019 in Hong Kong!



This was truly a special and unforgettable Air Max Day for me. Everyone was incredibly kind, and I even got the chance to do an interview in my native language, Cantonese, about my artwork.

Nike took it one step further and created an official product based on my work! How cool is that? I had no idea they were doing this, so when the box arrived, I was beyond excited.


I’d always dreamed of creating a scroll version of The Cháo Dynasty, but I hesitated because it’s hard to display on a wall. Thankfully, Nike brought that vision to life by producing a scroll! Only 200 pieces were made, distributed as a free giveaway through a raffle system for Nike Plus members in Hong Kong.



It also marked my first magazine cover story! And it wasn’t just any magazine—it was MILK Magazine, a publication I always bring back to the Netherlands whenever I visit Hong Kong.

Update 8 April 2019


Hiroshi Fujiwara was invited by Nike to speak during the "Nike On Air" panel in Hong Kong. Of course, he couldn’t resist snapping a photo with The Dynasty of Nike Air and spotting himself in the artwork. 😜
